Before this, he was entrenched in London's oil and gas sectors from 2011 to 2015. Reiner's strategic prowess was notably showcased through his involvement with the Basra Sports Complex in Iraq. As a founding partner of Newport Global, his consulting firm, he was pivotal in managing the project development of the $550 million Basra Sports City Complex. Opened in 2013, this project provided substantial recreational and economic benefits to the region and marked a milestone in post-conflict reconstruction efforts. Reiner excelled in leadership in the United States at Mahler & Emerson Inc., a New York-based financial firm, from 2002 to 2009. His consultancy work extended to the Middle East, specifically at Allied Investment House in Abu Dhabi, where he facilitated a substantial $80 million financing initiative for a significant real estate development in Dubai. He began with New World Charter and The Bull & Bear Group Inc. and advanced to a crucial position in the Global Wealth Management division at Goldman Sachs. Educationally, Reiner's background is as globally diversified as his professional experiences. He completed his MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Business in 2002, balancing his studies with impactful roles in the entertainment finance sector. His undergraduate education spanned several continents, with studies at The University of Cape Town, The University of Chang Mai, L'institute Catholique in Paris, and Caius and Gonville College at Cambridge University, culminating in a BA from Middlebury College in Vermont, with a focus on African Economic Development and Asian Cultural Studies. Beyond his corporate and financial accomplishments, Reiner is deeply committed to philanthropy and cultural enrichment.
