Dr. Chester L. Reid (Chet) co-founded Eagle Ledge Foundation, Inc. a California nonprofit religious Corporation, and Eagle Ledge Capital, LLC. a for-profit securities broker dealer. He has twenty-nine years of experience working with churches and individuals as a church finance consultant, financial planner, and pastor. Responsible for delivering over $1 billion in church financing to small congregations, and some of America's fastest-growing mega churches. Oversaw the management of $363 million of retail and institutional brokerage client accounts, and provided $25 million in gifts to Christian charities. Immediately following his service in the United States Air Force, he pursued a seven year agricultural business in beekeeping. During that time he was ordained as a minister and finished his business degree at California State University, Fresno, California. Soon thereafter he completed his Masters Degree in Church Administration at the California Graduate School of Theology, Glendale, California. Four years later he became a senior pastor in California's Central Valley. In total he served 11 years in pastoral roles. Then, the California Baptist Foundation invited him to join their church finance division staff. In 1993 he became the President of Strongtower Financial, Inc., where he served over 17 years. The firm's staff grew from less than 10 to over 80, and lending production from $20 million to over several hundred million annually. He was instrumental in seeing a mutual fund launched that invests only in church bonds and loans. This was the first and only mutual fund in the United States investing in this asset class. That same mutual fund earned a five star Morning Star rating, as the best long-term bond fund in America in 2008. He has also overseen the development and management of two loan funds that were responsible for over $500 million in direct lending to churches. Specialties As an active participant in ministry for over 30 years, I understand and relate to pastors and their congregations.
