Bio Jaime Furtado was born in Mozambique, Africa. This paradise quickly soured during the civil war of the mid-1970s and his family was forced to flee. Jaime attended one of the most prestigious Hotel Management Schools in the world, Ecole Hotelière Vieux-Boix, in Geneva, Switzerland. Although he received offers from prominent hotels, he eventually decided, like his Portuguese explorer ancestors, to discover and conquer the unknown. This journey landed him in a boat that traveled the entire world. Eventually, his fascination with ancient cultures in Mexico united him with the love of his life, his wife Jeannine. They have been married for 16 years and have two sons, Emilio and Paulo. Jaime has been a successful business owner in Brazil, Tijuana and San Diego. His passion for serving the Hispanic community led him to a career in Hispanic media with ¡ahora si! and Univision, the must outstanding Hispanic media in Austin.
