Lewis Ziolek

Lewis Ziolek is a photographer based in the Midlands but working throughout the UK. Lewis's work is an exploration of the urban landscape that surrounds us, reinterpreted through the use of analogue photography and traditional wet process darkroom practice. With the translation of common place structures and locations into a two dimensional surface, context is removed, allowing the unfolding of an ambiguous world of shadow and light. Incongruous forms stand alone, strange forms merge; the photographic print confirms a stark world taken beyond itself.
