> Studying MA Media Studies (Broadcast) > Book: "Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my favourite. I just love how magical realism works in the book. Having born and raised in a community rich in superstitions and traditions, the book reminds me of how "magical" yet horrifying (sometimes) my hometown is. > Film: "Pulp Fiction" (1994) by Quentin Tarantino is the one that usually comes first on my list. The film is full of Tarantino signature-- blood and violence, however, it still is full of images that a viewer can see (or analyse) in different ways. New perspectives and meanings always come up every time I rewatch the film. > Media Practitioner: I do not have a favourite media practitioner but I do have people in the field whom I admire most. They are the journalists who are working for peoples' media organizations or alternative media groups. > Music: As of January 2019, Bullet Dumas has become my favourite. His songs transport me to different worlds. When he performs, he transforms to several personalities at the same time. His vibe is a good kind of "sapi"/possession. > Internet Site: Vox Media (https://www.voxmedia.com/a/go-deeper) interests me a lot. The site offers several and creative perspectives on looking at things. From serious to entertaining matters, Vox Media elevate them as subjects that matter. > Meal: Breakfast and breakfast food. Graduate school made me not a morning person. On miraculous days, when I am gifted with morning energy, I alway make it a point to enjoy a good breakfast while asking (sometimes answering) my existential questions. On stressful days, breakfast food anytime of the day, offers relief. > Hobby: Photography. I love taking photos. Just this month, I signed myself up in the “film is not dead” movement so I can experience both worlds— digital and film photography.
