CEO and Founder of netnewideas, George Blair Scribner is a brand strategist and corporate “intra-preneur” whose career has spanned general advertising, integrated marketing, digital design, book publishing, and newspaper publishing. Since launching his brand practice in 2013, he has created brand and digital strategies for clients in health-tech, global marketing services, the performing arts, and global tourism. Prior to going solo, George led Brand Strategy for DigitasLBi in New York. While there, he published a seminal study on affluence in America with Advertising Age. George was the only voice on Madison Avenue – during the era of Occupy Wall Street – to be proclaiming the death of Mass Affluence and the return of the Middle Class. Before Digitas, George led a brand consulting practice at DDB/NY and was head of customer insights for the digital design company, Organic. In newspaper and book publishing, George managed direct marketing, sales systems/marketing database development, retail distribution, metro-marketing, institutional sales, and international licensing.
