I am both a marine scientist and human geographer/social scientist with a focus on the human and physical geographies and anthropologies of the coastal systems and seas. I study marine and coastal environments from as many angles as possible to find consilience between the natural and social sciences, and understand the links between our understanding of physical science and environmental decision-making. I apply my work towards exploring solutions to the environmental destruction of our coastlines and marine world and the communities and societies that rely on it.
