Gregory N. Cecil, of Clearwater Florida, is the only Florida State Certified Educator and Nationally Certified Aerospace Technician in the nation. He holds a Masters in Aeronautical Science: Space Operations Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and formally worked on the Space Shuttle Fleet thermal protection system as a Senior Aerocomposite Technician. After the end of the Space Shuttle Program, he became a science teacher and has taught in both public and private schools. Gregory has written over 50 articles relating to the space program for RV-103, The Space Review, and SpaceTEC. He contributed a four page essay to Michael Soluri’s book, Infinite Worlds. He served as a member of former Congresswoman Sandy Adam’s Space Advisory Committee. He has been interviewed on various media outlets about Human Space Flight including 60 minutes, Smithsonian Air and Space magazine, The Space Show, Weekly Reader/Career World, USA Today, etc. He has served as a consultant and appeared in the award winning documentary, “I Want to be an Astronaut,” which was premiered on the International Space Station. Currently through his company, AeroSTEM Consulting LLC, Gregory provides Aerospace STEM consulting for schools and companies, conducts workshops for STEM teachers, and gives presentations on subjects related to STEM and Human Space Flight.
