I take my turn in Hartsville, SC, place I have called home since 1973. For decades I have thought of myself as a change agent. Recently I made a big change by retiring from a position as a communication professor at Coker College, a job I loved for more than 1 years. I did not really retire, as I had and have another position as the Executive Director of The Byerly Foundation, a hyper-local grant making private foundation in Hartsville. My hope is that I will be able to continue fostering positive change both within Hartsville and within me. This area will be a space where I hope to carry on some discussion about the broad umbrella we might call CHANGE.
