Stephen Straz grew up believing that authentic craftsmanship comes from patience and taking the time to finish work the right way. As a child, he often stayed behind to complete tasks carefully, and that steady approach became the basis of his professional path. These early experiences continue to guide how Stephen Straz approaches every project today. He leads Straz Builders LLC on the South Shore of Massachusetts, working from Marshfield and Pembroke. His company focuses on custom luxury homes, renovations, sustainable and energy-efficient communities, and real estate investments across the South Shore, Greater Boston, Cape Cod, and other parts of New England. Stephen holds a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License, a Class A CDL with hazmat and passenger endorsements, and licenses in hoisting and hydraulics. Between 2018 and 2020, he managed about $12 million in real estate holdings, including roughly $4 million in active construction and about $2 million raised from outside investors. A standout achievement during that time was the renovation and sale of 130 Gray Street in Arlington, which sold for $1.3 million—$130,000 above the asking price. His design approach centers on how people use space day to day. He pays close attention to natural light, storage, and overall flow to create layouts that feel practical and comfortable. One feature he often incorporates is a long horizontal kitchen backsplash window, a simple detail that adds depth and light without relying on trends. Stephen remains involved from the earliest zoning discussions to the final walk-through, communicating clearly so clients always understand what stage they are in. His project experience includes new construction, high-end renovations, and investment properties across Plymouth County, Norfolk County, Cape Cod, and the Lake Winnipesaukee region. His understanding of coastal zoning, building codes, and energy requirements helps him anticipate challenges and adapt effectively. He builds trust with homeowners by outlining budgets, timelines, and milestones in straightforward terms. Investors receive organized proposals that include schedules, cost breakdowns, contingencies, and market-supported reasoning. On-site, he leads with respect, consistency, and a strong focus on safety and accountability. Outside of work, he spends time outdoors with his family and stays active through a wide range of recreational and competitive activities.
