I'm a man of simple tastes, who lives in the backwoods of NorthCentral Pennsylvania. I enjoy the wonders of the Creation around me into which I step every day, and I am thankful for the opportunity to do so. I am a staunch advocate of responsible dog ownership, as well as a defender of the breeds that are misrepresented as "dangerous" in today's media. I currently own a wonderful female Rottweiler named Tara who is a therapy dog. I also have an American Staffordshire Terrier named Sergio. I was the very proud owner of a Rottweiler named Jimmy who was the product of a "BYB", or "Back Yard Breeder" and was plagued with severe hip dysplasia. Jimmy wanted nothing more than a warm lap to lay his head on, and to be loved, and be around a bunch of children. He didn't deserve the chronic pain that he was forced to live with. He even overcame cancer, only to have to lose his life because of his horribly damaged hips. He left this world knowing love and dignity; I'd promised him that he'd never suffer the indignity of not being able to do for himself physically, and once I saw that he was struggling to walk, I kept my promise. I miss my boy every single day. My guns will be leveled at BYBs and Puppy Mills until I draw my last breath. I believe in taking care of one's self and doing the best you can with what you have been given. Above all, I believe that respect is earned and not entitled. I don't care who you are or where you come from; if you want respect, you earn it. It is not bestowed upon you because of your heritage.
